While SDXC cards are the preferred method for moving files and storing smaller files on a drive – the thumb drive will also be an option. 98% of the thumb drives I see are still using the USB-A format which is conflict with NSC standards of dropping USB-A. With that said, most thumb drives will not be an option for a Kaldan resident. However, even in cases where the thumb drive will use USB-C, this requires a USB port to plug in whereas an SD card will plug into a built in SD card reader, and not take up a USB port.
