Televisions

All new televisions will be required to be a smart TV. With being a smart TV, the owner can download their TV provider’s app and watch TV without the need for an antenna, or coaxial connection. This will be because all TV providers must provide an app to support on all of the major smart TV OSes. Also, all TVs must support 1080p resolution, and even higher resolution for larger TVs. For connectivity, all TVs must have at least 2HDMI ports, an SDXC card slot, and a single 2230 NVME slot which will be used for recording video content to watch later. And last, all TVs must have an RJ45-1GBPS with Wifi-6 as an optional connection option.

If the TV has a web cam, there must be a way to disable the webcam with a physical shutter. If the shutter is closed, then the microphone must also be off. All TVs must support a VESA mount capability, and have stand legs to allow the TV to sit on top of a TV stand. All TVs must be able to support a remote control that comes with the TV, and support for a universal remote setting. Since the TV provider’s app will be installed into the TV, there is no need for a cable box. The HDMI can support other platforms, and game systems.
